Physical Overview and Design:
Having 16W Speaker, Mivi Octave is still portable and small in size. You can easily carry it wherever you want. If you are a traveler then this Speaker will be great for you. It has a carrying strap also. Design of the speaker is similar to the Apple Homepod. The top of the speaker has a bass radiator which has CD Pattern and Mivi’s branding on it. The whole body is covered with high-quality fabric. The bottom side comes with a rubberized material. The back side of the speaker has a flap. After removing it, you will see a few ports: 3.5mm Audio port, MicroUSB Port for charging and Reset button. The LED indicator is at the bottom-front portion. Mivi Octave also comes with a built-in microphone by which you can take your calls or control Google Assistant.
How to Connect:
In terms of connectivity, it is quite fast when it is paired. You can pair with your smartphones, also smart devices like laptop, desktop wherever the Bluetooth connectivity is available. With Mivi Speakers you can get one extra feature that is if you have two units of speakers then you can pair both speakers at the same time and turns into a Stereo Speakers. So, Connectivity process is very fast and secure.
Audio Quality:
Here is the main part of the review. In one word, the sound quality of Mivi Octave is ‘LOUD’. Yes, it is loud enough for a room because of its 16W Speaker. The audio quality is crisp and clear. Battery Life:
The battery life of a wireless Bluetooth speaker is too much important factor. Because we always use speakers with us whenever we travel. So, for a portable speaker, it is really an important factor. Mivi Octave gives you approximately 6 hours of battery life. Always remember that battery backup is directly proportional to the volume level. In terms of my usage, I always used this speaker at around 80% volume level. I think this much battery backup is quite awesome for the price point and size. It has 2000 mAh inbuilt battery.
Value for Money – Mivi Octave?
The Mivi Octave wireless Bluetooth speaker is one of the best speakers in this price segment. If you compare it with JBL Flip 3 then Mivi Octave is better in terms of portability, Size, Battery life and price. Yeah, it costs lower than JBL Flip 3 and offers a better option.
