Xiaomi officially announced on Weibo today that they are going to launch their Redmi 6 series on June 12. Previously, some similar Xiaomi devices were passed TENAA certification. It’s predecessor, Xiaomi Redmi 5 was a budget device so this Redmi 6 is going to be a budget device. New Xiaomi device with model number M1805D1SE could be the Redmi 6 Pro. But according to reports, this Notch display device is named Mi A2 Lite in Singapore. Redmi 6 will come without the Notch. Let’s talk about its design and specifications.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro design:
As we can expect that, the Pro model will come with a Notch display, while in other hands, Redmi 6 will come without Notch. Redmi 6 Pro could feature 19:9 aspect ratio display and Redmi 6 will have 18:9 aspect ratio display. The rear design of the Redmi 6 Pro is similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The vertical dual rear camera setup is placed at the top left corner and the fingerprint scanner is at the middle position. Whereas, the Redmi 6 has a dual rear camera setup at the top left corner and placed horizontally. Both models come with a metal back and polycarbonate at the top and bottom position. Volume rockers and power key were placed at the right of the device.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Specifications:
According to TENAA listing, there are 1805D1SC, M1805D1SE, and M1805D1ST model number which comes with the Notched display. The display here is 5.84-inch 19:9 aspect ratio with FullHD+ resolution. It runs on Android Oreo with their MIUI. The 2GHz octa-core SoC powers the device and we are expecting that this one is Snapdragon 625. The dual rear camera setup features a 12MP primary sensor but there are no words about the secondary sensor. The 5MP front camera is given for selfies. It would contain 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM Variants with 16GB/32GB/64GB inbuilt storage options. The smartphone would be packed by 4000 mAh battery. It will measure 149.33×71.68×8.75mm and weigh 178 grams.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Specifications:
Devices with model numbers M1804C3CT, M1804C3DT and M1804C3DC will come without the Notch. TENAA listings confirm that it could have 5.45-inch 19:9 aspect ratio display with HD+ resolution. This line up will also be powered by 2GHz octa-core SoC. Cameras, RAM, and storage options are similar to the Redmi 6 Pro. This phone measures 147.46×71.49×8.3mm and weighs in at 146 grams.
