Honor 8X confirmed by the Company – New Phablet Device is coming

Previously, Honor 8X was spotted on TENAA and reveals some information that suggests that this device is going to be a phablet type of device. The name was not confirmed yet. The has the model number ARE-AL00. Everyone was expecting it to be Honor 8X. Now, the company confirmed it officially via Weibo. The teased a poster where ‘8X’ is written along with “breaking the limit”. It means this device is going to break the limits of display size and battery size.

TENAA listing of upcoming Honor 8X reveals a big 7.12-inch of the display with FullHD+ resolution. It will have a TFT display. The Notch of the display is not normal here. It comes with Oppo like Water-Drop Notch. Android Oreo will be there with their own custom UI. The processor’s name is not mentioned there. But 1.8GHz Octa-core SoC suggests Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. Maybe this time they will go with Qualcomm’s processor instead of their own Kirin processor. In terms of memory, there will be two different variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB Onboard storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB Onboard storage. The dual rear camera placed vertically at the top left position. This dual camera setup has a 16MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary depth sensor. For selfies, there’s an 8MP front-facing shooter. The battery is also huge here, 4,900 mAh.

Xiaomi’s Max series also focuses on big display and big battery backup. Maybe this new Honor device from X-Series is going to compete with Mi Max 3. But the size of the display is bigger on the Honor 8X. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has a 6.9-inch display. The battery is not that much different on these devices. What are your opinions on this?
