Panasonic P100 vs Redmi 5A: After a lot of time, Panasonic launched their new entry-level smartphone Panasonic P100 in India with competitive specifications. 1GB RAM variant of the Panasonic P100 is priced at 5,299 Rs. and 2GB RAM variant is priced at 5,999 Rs. This smartphone will be available from 8th February as a Flipkart exclusive product. Blue, Black, Gold, and Dark Grey color variants are available of this newly launched smartphone. In this price segment, there’s a lot of smartphones available in the market such as Xiaomi Redmi 5A, Tenor D and Nokia 2. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is priced at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant. Display – Panasonic P100 vs Redmi 5A:

In terms of display, it sports 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curve Corning Gorilla Glass Whereas Redmi 5A sports 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS LCD display with 16:9 ratio. The display is little similar in both devices but slightly better on Redmi 5A because of that 2.5D curve Corning Gorilla Glass.

Panasonic P100 runs on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. Xiaomi Redmi 5A runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 out of the box with MIUI 9.1 on top. MIUI is Xiaomi’s own custom UI where you can get a lot of inbuilt features. The Oreo update is expected in Xiaomi Redmi 5A. So, the software experience is better on Redmi 5A.

Under the hood, Redmi 5A is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. The Panasonic P100 is powered by MediaTek MT6737 quad-core SoC. So, the processor is better on Redmi 5A.

Panasonic P100 offers 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with LED flash on both front and the rear. Xiaomi Redmi 5A featured 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front Camera. So, the rear camera is better on Xiaomi Redmi 5A. But the performance of the front camera in low-lighting condition will be better on Panasonic P100.
