Huawei Honor View 10 vs LG V30+: The Huawei brand Honor is going to launch the first sale of the Honor View 10 (V10) in India on 5th January via Amazon India. This AI-powered new Honor View 10 (V10) was unveiled on 5th December 2017. Now approximately after one month, the Chinese company is going to launch it in India officially. The pre-registration on Amazon India is live now. The price of the 128GB variant will somewhere around 39,999 Rs. In this price segment, LG V30+ is available to buy. But the LG V30+ is little costly and priced at 44,990 Rs. Some points suggest the Honor View 10 and some suggest the LG V30+. But what should you buy? LG V30+ is the higher storage variant of the V30. It is priced at 44,990Rs. on Amazon India. The price of the Huawei View 10 (V10) is not official now. But some leaks suggest that its 128GB variant will be launched at 39,999 Rs. Stay tuned for the official announcement. Let’s compare specifications of these flagship devices.
Design – Huawei Honor View 10 vs LG V30+
In terms of design, both offer a great flagship grade design and in-hand feel. The Huawei Honor View 10 is little thinner than the LG V30+. The difference is not huge, the difference of .3 mm only. LG V30+ has 158g of weight and Honor View 10 has 172g. So, LG V30+ is lighter, smaller and thinner than the Honor View 10. Both offer 18:9 aspect ratio with minimal bezels on top and bottom. The LG V30+ comes with 81.2% screen-to-body ratio and the Honor View 10 comes with 78.6% screen-to-body ratio. So, LG V30+ offers lesser bezels than the Honor View 10. Honor View 10 has the fingerprint scanner at the front but the LG V30+ has this at the rear. The LG V30+ has a glass back that is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass. The Honor View 10 offers metal back. Both come with the dual rear camera setup at the rear. The choice of design depends on you.
Display – Huawei Honor View 10 vs LG V30+
The Honor View 10 comes with 5.99-inch IPS LCD 18:9 Full View screen with FullHD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution and 403 ppi of pixel density. The LG V30+ offers 6-inch OLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Quad HD+ (1440 x 2880 pixels) resolution and 537 ppi of pixel density. This display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. But the display protection is missing on the Honor View 10. So, LG V30+ offers better display because it has OLED display, better pixel density and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Software – Huawei Honor View 10 vs LG V30+
The Honor View 10 comes with Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box with EMUI 8.0 on top. EMUI stands for Emotion UI which is Huawei’s own Custom UI. The LG V30+ runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 out of the box with LG UX 6.0+ on top. UX UI is not that much great but the EMUI is really responsive and comes with helpful inbuilt features. So, in this software department, the Huawei Honor View 10 is the winner.

The Huawei Honor View 10 is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. On the other hand, LG V30+ is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC is more powerful and even better than the Snapdragon 845 SoC (according to some reports). The Honor View 10 has 6GB RAM whereas the LG V30+ has smaller 4GB RAM. Honor View 10 comes in two storage variants: 64GB inbuilt storage and 128GB inbuilt storage. The LG V30+ comes in one variant that offers 128GB inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable on both devices via a Hybrid slot. So, in this segment, again the Honor View 10 is the winner.
Camera – Huawei Honor View 10 vs LG V30+
Cameras on smartphones become more important. Both devices featured dual camera setup. The Huawei Honor View 10 has a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor which is a monochrome sensor. The LG V30+ offers a different type of setup that includes 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 13-megapixel secondary sensor with the f/1.9 aperture which is a 120-degree wide angle lens. Both of these can capture 4K videos at 30fps. The Huawei Honor View 10 has 13-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The LG V30+ has 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The LG V30+ has no portrait mode option which is a trend now.

The LG V30+ comes with smaller 3,300 mAh of non-removable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that claims 50% of recharge in 36 min.

The Honor View 10 sports Facial recognition similar to the iPhone X. The Huawei Honor View 10 comes with HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC which has a dedicated NPU (neural processing unit). This is the World’s first SoC to have an NPU. The NPU is built for Artificial Intelligence. An NPU works more like the human brain. These features make the Huawei View 10 an AI-powered smartphone.
LG V30+ has an IP68 certification which makes this device dustproof and waterproof over 1.5 meters and 30 minutes. It also has MIL-STD-810G certification that makes it shock resistant.
